Widgets do not work after update (Date stays the same, contents blank)

After updating iOS or the app, you may encounter issues with your widget. These issues include the widget's date not updating or the widget appearing completely blank (white/black).

In many cases, waiting for a while can resolve the problem. However, if you need a quicker solution or the issue persists, please try the following steps:

  1. Remove the affected widget from your home screen
  2. Restart your device. (How to Restart an iPhone, How to Restart an iPad)
  3. Re-add the widget.
  4. If the problem continues after this, please try the following steps.
    1. Open the Settings app and go to General > Language & Region
    2. Tap Calendar, and select another calendar system
    3. Tap Region, and select another region
    4. Set both back to the original settings

After this, the widget may become empty or display a placeholder (no text), but after a while, it will be displayed normally.
